Cowboy Simple release a funkified version of "Wichita Lineman"

Personal Best's newest act, country funk exponents Cowboy Simple, have released a version of the iconic classic Wichita Lineman, written by Jimmy Webb and originally performed by Glen Campbell, but other notable versions have been done by Tony Joe White, Kool and The Gang, James Taylor, The Meters, Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66, Freddie Hubbard, Jimmy Barnes and many, many more.

"Why the heck would we do a version of it, you may ask!?

Well we’ve brought a gentle disco tempo feel to it courtesy of a pulsing octave bassline from Michael Di Francesco aka Touch Sensitive, over a steady 100BPM slow groove beat that would probably mix real nice with Dancing Queen or some Barry White or Bee Gees boogie, if you know what we mean, then mixed in some wah guitars and pedal steel and some Isaac Hayes-style monologue and it's become something a little bit special
